Nutrition Tips To Look And Feel Your Best

Posted on June 4, 2021 by Lacroix

One of the easiest ways to make sure that you that you are getting only the most nutritious foods and beverages is to ensure that these healthy items are always on hand. Protein bars can easily be stashed in a purse, glove box, or desk drawer. If tasty and healthy snacks are within your grasp, chances are you will be more likely to reach for these treats rather than leaving your office for a salty snack from the vending machines or through the drive-thru of a fast food restaurant.

Bread isn’t the only food with a healthier whole grain counterpart; pastas like elbow macaroni, spaghetti, angel hair, and linguine are best consumed when made from whole grains instead of refined pastas. The difference in taste and texture between refined and whole wheat pastas is negligible, and even the pickiest eater would be hard-pressed to tell them apart.

To get a healthier body, consider eating your fresh fruits and vegetables raw. It is easier for your body to break down foods in their original state. Cooking food can leech nutrients, so raw fruits and vegetables are better for you. Eat raw food in smaller portions for better digestion and health.

Balance your daily diet metabofix against your body’s composition. If you use a body fat scale, you can see what percentage of your weight is fat, muscle, and water. For optimum health, you want to keep a low body fat percentage. If yours is high, reduce the amount of fat in your diet. If your muscle mass percentage is high, consider increasing the amount of protein in your diet, to feed that muscle.
